Sazerac
New Orleans official cocktail. Originally Cognac, switched to Rye after phylloxera.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Rye Whiskey
- 0.25 oz Simple Syrup
- 4 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
- Absinthe (Rinse)
Instructions
- Rinse glass with absinthe.
- Stir rye, sugar, bitters with ice.
- Strain into rinsed glass.
- Express lemon peel.
